John Forkner has been a professional actor for the last 20 years. Originally from Texas, John has worked in New York, Virginia and Oklahoma as well as toured throughout the US. His work has gained critical acclaim in major papers across the country including the trade paper BACKSTAGE and TIME OUT NEW YORK. A member of Actors Equity Association, John has created new work as well as working extensively in Shakespeare. He holds a BFA in Acting from Baylor University and an MFA in Acting/Directing from Regent University. At Regent University, John has directed These Shining Lives, Arsenic and Old Lace, a Tale of Two Cities, The Heiress Shakespeare's Julius Caesar with an all-female cast. Upcoming, Schoolhouse Rock Live!. He has taught at both Regent and Old Dominion University.
